If you need one

The Good Night

Now the good night
settles in softly
puts her arms around you
and says,

Love,
you do not have to smile
or cheer up

Put on a brave face
or soldier on

Fake it till you make it
or hold it together
anymore.

I’m here
and it is time
to rest.
